As always, I am truly amazed at Tiffany's capabilities. Yes, she's proven time and again that she is an innovative, intelligent, tenacious (in a good way) and capable young woman. However, I continue to be pleasantly surprised at the ever-increasing scope of her capabilities.
MeneMAC has been an incredible opportunity for Tiffany. Not only has she matured academically (by stretching her imagination and reasoning), she has grown socially and emotionally as well. The MeneMAC community is tight-knit, and Tiffany has greatly benefitted from having a group that she can identify with. She has created and nurtured close relationships with both girls and boys...not an easy feat for many incoming freshmen. I am gratified to see Tiffany be so animated when she talks about school and her different projects. I have no doubt that she will excel at her studies, an will rise to any challenge that is presented to her.
Although I found everything on Tiffany's portfolio to be visually striking, thought-provoking and interesting, I enjoyed the music video the most. For one thing, both Tiffany and Hannah involved their younger siblings in the project...collaboration is a skill that everyone should learn and take advantage of. Secondly, both Tiffany and Hannah contributed their skills, ideas, opinions and effort to make this video a success. Division of labor and responsibilities...recognizing each others' talents...knowing when to lead as well as knowing when to follow. I saw evidence of all these wonderful skills in this project. So not only did Tiffany learn technical skills in MeneMAC, she also takes away some valuable life skills.
I really love that the MeneMAC program challenged Tiffany to do more than she thought she could do...to be more than she thought she could be...to expect more from herself. I'm happy to see Tiffany so proud of all her accomplishments AND would like her to know that I am, and have ALWAYS been, so VERY proud of her.
(This is Tiffany now) I have no clue why, but my time is messed up here. My mom posted this comment at 10:19 PM on May 16th, not 1:19 AM on May 17th. Just for clarification~
